Mission Statement

SafeSide Foundation is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to reducing homelessness and housing instability by expanding access to peer-led recovery support, mental health resources, and practical pathways to stability. We serve individuals whose lives are impacted by addiction, mental health challenges, and related barriers such as incarceration, job loss, and family disruption.

Our approach is grounded in lived experience and a compassion-first philosophy that recognizes the autonomy and potential of every individual. We believe recovery and stability are most effective when support is peer-led, relationship-based, and responsive to each person’s real-world circumstances. SafeSide Foundation exists to build sustainable, community-based solutions that are rooted locally and adaptable to other communities.

We work across sectors to bring together government agencies, Colorado-based nonprofit partners, local businesses, and community stakeholders to deliver coordinated, compassionate, and lasting support. Through targeted projects, we break down silos and align available resources around the real needs of people experiencing crisis.
